Being shorter (6’6) this combo is not ideal for distance casting but is good for accuracy, making it a good combo for rivers where you want accuracty to throw into the snags. But this also makes it a good double up as a boat baitfishing rod from water from 10-40m. The Shimano Sakan rod is a good value rod that has enough grunt to stop big fish. The Braid is Daiwa X4 and a good abrasive long lasting braid.

The Reel
