Like all Shimano Game Fishing Gear this is a Quality Combo, 15kg is a good allround line class for all Sizes of Marlin and Tuna and being a 15kg set up the overall pysical weight is lighter so good for starting out Game Fisherman and for Kids as the 50W sizes get harded to manage, the Reel is the Shimano TLD 30A, the TLD Range of reels is one of Shimano’s longest running Reel ranges, “if it aint broke dont fix it” they require minimal maintenance, are light weight and wont break the bank. The rod is the Shimano Tag em, the Tag em rods are Shimano’s Mid range game rods, and come with Pac Bay inset guides, the are a fast taper Game rod that are forgiving on the angler, making the combo a good quality combo for a great price. It comes spooled with Quality Black Magic 15kg IGFA Hi Vis Yellow line, and you may request a comour change or even brand if desired but we stand by Black Magic as being of the highest quality.

Shimano TLD 50LRSA – 2 Speed Overhead Reels
Shimano TLD two-speed reels have long been the choice for anglers requiring the reliability and benefits of reduced weight from a graphite-framed overhead, coupled with a lower gear option for shifting stubborn fish. Tolerances have been tightened for use with braided line, the handles on the 20 and 30 are now the same as the Tiagra and Torsa light overheads, while chrome plated brass handle shanks and oversize handles give the 50 and 50LRS real cranking power.
