The beauty of this combo is its versatility, the 832 Egi is not only an awesome Squidding rod but also makes a very nice Soft Plastic rod as the length and Fast Taper give you a very nice cast, But about the squidding… The Rod is designed for casting 2.5 – 3.5 sized jigs giving you a lot of options, the rod will still be good for boat fishing where you want to get the distance and cover ground, (a very good option when there is little drift) but of course, is a beautiful harbour and Bay Land based Egi Combo.  The reel is the Shimano Sedona 3000, a lightweight reel with plenty of strength and durability that won’t break the bank. The combo comes spooled with 10lb J Braid X4 which is renowned for its abrasion resistance and high breaking strain.

The iconic Shimano Sedona has stepped up a gear for 2017 with the new FI series. The Rod

NS BLACK HOLE BLACK WATER EGI RODS 

The Ns Black Hole Black Water Egi rods are a rod specifically designed for squid fishing so like most rods designed for squid or (egi) fishing the NS Black Hole Black water egi rods have a slow taper and are very sensitive and maximise your casting distance with the extra weight in squid jigs, the Black Water egi rods have a range of rods that cover most egi fishing. Within the NS Black Hole Balck Water egi rods are two 3 7ft models, the Black water egi S-702L designed for smaller squid jigs from 1.5 – 2.5 wich is perfect for fishing estuaries. The Black Water Egi S-702L that is designed for casting 2.0 to 3.0 size squid jigs. The NS Black Water egi 762L will cat the same as the 702L but has more lenght so is a better rod for land based squid fishing but will still be fine for boat fishng. There are two Blackwater Egi rods specifically designed for Land based Egi Fishing, NS Blackwater 83ML and will cast squid jigs from 2.5-3.5. THe longest of the NS Black Hole Blackwater egi rods is the 902M and will will cast all large Yamashita squid jigs form 3.0-4.0.
